UK Arable Plant Survey
The UK arable plants survey aims to identify the most important sites for arable plants in the UK; to influence the targeting of agri-environment scheme payments; produce guideline and management tools for farmers and agronomists; and to increase awareness of this threatened group of plants.

Survey data are only eligible if collected by individual with permission to access arable land; therefore it is aimed at farmers, agronomists and farm advisors. The survey form is designed to make this process as straight forward as possible.
If you would like to get involved, the survey form can be obtained by downloading or printing from the PDF file link to the right or by contacting Plantlife’s Farmland Officer, Kate Still on Tel: 01722 342741 email kate.still@plantlife.org.uk
In order to target conservation action at sites with the most threatened arable species we have produced a Threatened Arable Plants survey form and full colour ID guide – if any of these 54 plants are recorded at a site then it could be regarded as an Important Arable Plant Area and suitable management should be put in place as a priority. You can either get hard copies of the guide and form by contacting Kate on the details above or download from the PDF file links to the right.
