Arable Farmland biodiversity

Weedy crop margins have been shown to benefit many farmland birds, including the grey partridge. The Game Conservancy Trust should be contacted for advice on game bird management. Flowers in field margins will also be a valuable food source to a wide range of beneficial farmland insects.

In addition to weedy margins autumn and winter stubbles are also very important for birds.
